A Special Event: Andrea @ Newton Senior Center September 13

Andrea leading an Ins & Outs of Planning Your Intergenerational Program workshop at Generations Inc. in Wisconsin

Andrea in action at an event earlier this year.

On Tuesday, September 13, the Newton Senior Center is hosting a very special event. Thanks to a grant from The Village Bank, Bridges Together’s own Andrea J. Fonte Weaver will speak about the “what” and “why” of intergenerational programs. From 1:30 until 3 pm, you are invited to hear about the importance of bridging the generations – and concrete ways to do so.

Why should you attend? Did you know that one of the biggest issues facing America in the 21st century is our changing demographics? By the year 2025, adults over the age of 65 will outnumber children under the age of 13! (You can read Andrea’s article about this important topic here.) Join Andrea, Founder and Executive Director of Bridges Together Inc. and a national thought-leader in the intergenerational field, as she explains how intergenerational programming can bridge these groups. Register today for this free, open-to-the-public event!

Thank you to The Village Bank for making this special afternoon possible.
