As we think ahead to June in New England, we hope that summer weather will be here. We think of field days and field trips and planting gardens. Longer days provide the opportunity to spend more time outdoors. This month, we use Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs to outline ways to help build neighborhoods and enjoy the community that exists.
If you are working with formal groups – like Park & Rec, Scouts, Senior Centers – the How-To-Guide
will take you through each step of the process from finding a partner to evaluating the program.
If you are engaging one-on one with someone in a different generation – like with grandchildren or mentees – the Springboard
will give you lots of ideas of conversation starters and easy, impactful activities with youth from preschool through emerging adulthood (18-25 years of age).
Enjoy the outdoors – and help one another!
