Bridges Together is happy to announce our partnership with the Generation to Generation (or Gen2Gen) campaign. Gen2Gen is an outgrowth of Encore, an organization devoted to older adults’ “second acts.” Understanding the power of intergenerational connections, Gen2Gen has big goals for harnessing the skills and energy of adults 50+ toward youth and youth organizations such as schools.
To help move its message forward, Gen2Gen has partnered with several organizations – and Bridges Together is among them! The five-year campaign launched in November 2016 and aims to mobilize 1 million people over 50 years old to “show up for kids, support innovative pilots to bring generations together in ways that make lives better for all, and amplify a positive conversation about intergenerational collaboration in America.”
Take a look at the Gen2Gen website to see different ways that you can get involved. Are you already active volunteering with Bridges Together? Count yourself among one of the 1 million right here! (Look for the “Count Me In” button on the top right.)
