We couldn’t be happier or prouder to share this terrific news: the town of Carlisle, MA, has been named one of the best intergenerational communities in America!
Each year, the MetLife Foundation/Generations United America’s Best Intergenerational Communities Award recognizes strong, supportive communities that foster intergenerational solidarity. In addition to Carlyle, MA, three other communities received a 2015 award: the Greater Richmond Region, VA; the Greater Plymouth Area, WI; and the City of Surprise, AZ, which was named as a national finalist.
Bridges Together is very proud of its relationships with Carlisle’s Council on Aging as well as with Generations United, the national organization that sponsors this award. In fact, Patti Russo, one of the leaders of Carlisle’s Council on Aging, is scheduled to speak at two Bridges Together Lunch, Learn & Network events this winter! The first will be on February 9 in Hopkinton, MA, followed by a program on March 31 in Belmont, MA. We welcome you to join us for either or both!
