The conference location resonates with anyone familiar with Hawai’i culture—specifically the reverence for honored elders, grandparents, or older persons, which is known as kupuna. Scheduled for July 21-24, 2015, the Intergenerational Action on a Global Scale conference presented by Generations United will be co-hosted by national and international partners: Seagull Schools, International Consortium of Intergenerational Programmes (ICIP), UNA-Hawaii and Japan NGO Council on Ageing (JANCA).
