Older adults joined college students in Upstate New York to dance the night away at the 2015 Tompkins County Intergenerational Prom. The prom was hosted by members of Project Generations, an organization run by students from Ithaca College and Cornell University. Project Generations was formed to bridge the gap between generations through companionship. With “A Night in Paris” as this year’s theme, the prom provided the perfect venue for seniors and college students to interact and to bond with one another in music and dancing, activities that have no age boundaries.
Consider organizing an intergenerational prom in your town. (You could impress the younger generation with your dance moves!) Click here to read more about the recent event in Ithaca on the Huffington Post.
