“I’m getting as much out of this as the kids are. I love these people. I love these kids. And I love the other seniors! I learn from all of them.” — An older adult Bridges participant
“Everybody has something in common, no matter what your age. I also learned that you shouldn’t waste your life sitting on a couch watching TV. You should be out enjoying yourself. Bridges gives you the chance to have a friendly conversation with a senior. My grandma and grandpa live all the way in Arizona. Having Bridges is like talking to my grandparents every Monday.” — A fourth grade Bridges participant
These Bridges participants know how beneficial, fun and educational quality intergenerational programming can be – wouldn’t you like to see these attitudes flourish in your community?
If you are in Massachusetts, you can! Thanks to funding from the Tufts Health Plan Foundation, Bridges Together can train a select number of communities in Massachusetts to implement one of four Bridges programs (Bridges: Our Stories, Bridges: Growing Together, Bridges: Our Smarts or Bridges: Lifelong Journeys).
