How students can live rent-free (in the Netherlands)

This is brilliant, and so beautifully intergenerational: Dutch university students can live rent-free in nursing homes, with a few conditions that serve everyone well. Read more about this inventive approach to promoting intergenerational unity at PBS.org. From the PBS.org article:

“Officials at the nursing home say students do a variety of activities with the older residents, including watching sports, celebrating birthdays and, perhaps most importantly, offering company when seniors fall ill, which helps stave off feelings of disconnectedness.”
