How to welcome people

At a recent bootcamp, we discussed unexpected visitors. One attendee from a senior center mentioned that many mothers and young children were beginning to come through the front doors every day: they were coming into the senior center to tBT welcomeake refuge from the extreme cold instead of waiting at their usual outside bus stop.

How can we make visitors–both expected and unexpected– feel more welcome in our spaces?

One of Bridges Together’s core values is to recognize people’s giftedness. As such, we should see each person who enters our space as a gift. What an honor and responsibility as members of the human family!

As you think about ways to make your own space more inviting, we offer these suggestions. What other suggestions can we add?
