Jo Crawford: An inspiration to many

This photo from the BT home page shows LSRHS students who volunteered with Bridges Together during the MLK Action Project’s 2015 Senior Service Day.

Jo Crawford, who founded the MLK Action Project at Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School, was a mentor to Andrea J. Fonte Weaver, the founder and executive director of Bridges Together, Inc., and to so many others. Eighty-nine-year-old Jo passed away on July 1.

“She walked the walk with us as we served,” said Andrea. “Jo exemplified the beauty of intergenerational relationships between our bookend generations–our youngest and oldest citizens. May Jo rest in peace, and may her spirit continue to inspire generations to serve.”

Bridges Together is fortunate to be able to continue to work with student volunteers through the MLK Action Project and its leader Susan Frommer.
