Since our incorporation six years ago, we have held an annual spring fundraiser – which has varied in format from year to year. These events have become a treasured tradition. In planning for our 2018 event, we decided to reach out to Circle Furniture, a wonderful, multi-generational family-run local company. They said “YES!” to hosting us. In addition to collaborating with a like-minded business, we are excited that our guests will find many places to sit and chat – from cozy livingrooms to contemporary kitchen tables!
You see, that is what this event is really about. Building community. That’s what BT is all about – building and strengthening community especially between our youngest and oldest members – whether it’s with our supporters or between a school and senior center or in a workplace! (Check out our upcoming, multigenerational workforce training.)
And we call this community – a circle of love. In today’s world that is filled with so much horror and news that can induce much fear, we need to take time to celebrate those who are committed to building bonds of peace and friendship – especially between people who appear to be different. So, in this spirit, we invite you to join us for a memorable evening of:
- connecting with old friends and meeting new ones (which we will help facilitate)
- hearing how BT’s work has impacted people in Arlington, MA
- honoring Chris Hammer for his many years of service
- enjoying yummy hors doeuvres
- bidding on great auction items (with an out-of-this-world auctioneer)
- enjoying live music and a cash bar
all to support an organization with a unique mission – training and providing tools for teachers and aging services staff to effectively unite the generations.
